Danyale Sturdivant

Danyale Sturdivant, MSSW, is a graduate of Russell Sage College and Columbia University's School of Social Work. She holds a master's degree in clinical social work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of North Carolina. Sturdivant has worked as a social worker for over 20 years in various settings. Sturdivant is also the mother of a 12-year-old son who is on the Autism spectrum. After facing challenges finding appropriate providers to meet the needs of her family, she founded Living Autism Out Loud (LAOL). LAOL strives to eliminate barriers that BIPOC parents may face when accessing services for their children. These barriers may cause families to miss opportunities for early detection of and early intervention for disabilities such as autism spectrum disorder and other intellectual developmental disabilities. LAOL seeks to eliminate these barriers through culturally responsive training to organizations and families.
