Barry Donowitz

Dr. Barry Donowitz is the Associate Executive Director of Administration & Central Services for AHRC Nassau's family of organizations, the largest provider of services for children and adults with developmental disabilities on Long Island, serving the community for over 70 years. Dr. Donowitz has over 30 years of experience in the field of developmental disabilities both as an administrator and a clinician, providing and overseeing a wide range of supports and services across his career, and serving on several regional and statewide committees to advance the field. In his current role, he oversees the organization's administrative departments, including Human Resources, Information Technology, Facilities Management and Capital Improvements, and Business Services. He also facilitates the organization's strategic planning, new program and business development, and employment services. Dr. Donowitz earned his PhD in Clinical and School Psychology from Hofstra University, and maintains a small private practice in Suffolk County
