Autism Training Specialist and Diversity Manager, STAR Autism Support

Alicia Balfrey resides in Eugene, OR and is an Autism Training Specialist with STAR Autism Support. She provides workshops, coaching, and consultation to classrooms throughout the state of Oregon, across North America, and internationally. Her primary role as a trainer is to support implementation of evidence-based strategies for students with autism and other developmental disabilities from pre-K through post-secondary and transition to adulthood. Balfrey also enjoys providing training and support to families and caregivers and building strong relationships between home and school. Prior to her role at STAR, Balfrey taught in an autism classroom using the STAR Program and served as a training site to model evidence-based strategies for other educational teams around the state of Oregon. She also has a background in Applied Behavior Analysis and received her Master's in Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Oregon.
